Sore throat?
Just mix 1/4 cup of vinegar with 1/4 cup of honey and take 1 tablespoon six times a day. The vinegar kills the bacteria. (Teal says: I think it's the honey that kills the bacteria and that the vinegar makes it easier to eat straight honey. My mom used lemon juice. It's a traditional recipe from "the old country".)
Cure urinary tract infections with Alka-Seltzer
Just dissolve two tablets in a glass of water and drink it at the onset of the symptoms. Alka-Seltzer begins eliminating urinary tract infections almost instantly -- even though the product was never been advertised for this use.

(Teal says: almost any spray, including hair and detergent, will slow a bug down and then he will crawl away and die under the furnitue.)
The Original Formula 409 works GREAT for ants! You don't have to drown them, just lightly mist and you'll watch ants curl up and die. I feel safer using 409 than using insect poison in my kitchen.
Hunt's tomato paste boil cure
