- Write to your local councillors, especially if you are campaigning for a Plastic Bag Free Village or Town. You can find out who your local councillors are and how to contact them at www.WriteToThem.com.
- Write to your local papers (don't forget to include the address of this site!).
- Count up the number of bags littering your local environment. If you have children, this is one for them too - why not get them to count up all the littered bags on a long car journey? Include all this, plus photos if you have them, in your letter writing.
- Get local schools to organise a letter writing campaign.
- Invite your local MP to count up the number of bags collected in their household over a typical week/month.
- Send Blair a Bag - post a typical week's worth of plastic bags to Tony Blair at 10 Downing Street, telling him why you've done it and asking for his support.
