Chopsticks
Many restaurants use disposable chopsticks for various reasons, but some of the conspicuous reasons are their convenience and possible cost reduction. For these reasons, resources are being wasted whenever disposable chopsticks are used once and thrown away. This does not only wastes trees but also all of the energy used to produce them. Hence, it is much more environmentally sound to buy one's own pair of chopsticks whenever he or she dines out at a restaurant that offers disposable chopsticks. Presumably, chopsticks are predominantly used in Asian cuisines, so those who eat at such places quite frequently should consider purchasing plastic, wooden, metal, et al. washable and reusable ones with a case to carry them around. Simply bring them to a restaurant, eat with them, put them back in the case, and wash them when you get home. You can save a pair of chopsticks every time you can do this
