[edit] Sources of Anthropogenic

Anthropogenic sources include industry, agriculture, botany, mining, transportation, construction, habitations, and purposeful changes such as afforestation.

Industry

1) Gases and dust are released in to atmosphere which is leading to climate change. 2) Creation of urban biomes in places such as rooftop gardens and abandoned brown water sites. 3) All kinds of pollution mainly Air pollution, water pollution, light pollution. 4) Waste disposal practices applied by small scale industries as well as large scale industries.

Agriculture

1) Chemicals found in fertilizer and pesticides making soil and water pollution. 2) Due to Alteration of nitrogen cycle by Haber-Bosch process and planting of legumes. 3) Conversion of woodlands into fields and pastures including slash-and-burn techniques. 4) Due to inadequate drainage effecting Ground water salinization. 5) Crop rotation effecting Enriching of fallowed lands. 6) Creation of rich soils like terra petra by Practices such as slash-and-char. 7) Afforestation via shelterbelts in plains areas, increasing support for biodiversity. 8) Diversion of surface and groundwater.

Mining

1) Release of air pollution by refining processes. 2) Altering of nirogen cycle by mining of guano.

Mining.jpg

3) Removal of topsoil and creation of spoil piles. 4) Diversion of groundwater by mine shafts. 5) Creation of wetlands and lakes in for strip mined areas, which provide habitat for endangered species. 6) Surface runoff bearing mining wastes.

Habitations

Habitations.jpg

1)Concentration of human activities in discrete zones. 2)Concentration of waste products, sewage, and debris.

Construction

1) Removal of natural habitats by grading and building.

2) Conversion of plains to lumber plantations afforestation, converting old or second growth mixed woodlands into plantation monocultures. 3) Diversion of groundwater. 4) urban heat island effect 5) Compression of soil 6) Filling in marshes, bays, swamps, ponds, stream beds.

Botany

The human alteration of plants by breeding, selection, genetic engineering and tissue fusion and Genetic pollution,
